At Blue Rain Design, we believe that every space tells a story. Our missioin is to create beautiful, functional spaces that enhance your quality of life.
Our design philosophy is rooted in the following principles:
My journey to becoming an interior decorator is deeply rooted in my cultural heritage and personal experiences. Growing up in China, I developed a profound appreciation for the harmony and balance intrinsic to traditional Chinese design. This early exposure to aesthetics has shaped my design philosophy, where I seamlessly blend classical elements with modern aesthetics to create spaces that are both timeless and contemporary.
My father, a professor of philosophy and aesthetics, greatly influenced my understanding of beauty and creativity. He often took my sister and me to museums and art shows, and introduced us to different cuisines and literature, especially Chinese poetry known for its succinct four-line structure and vivid imagery. These experiences cultivated my love for art and design from a young age.
Living in a small apartment in Shanghai, my mother would frequently rearrange the furniture to create a sense of visual freshness. This taught me the importance of adaptability and innovation in making the most of any space.
With over 30 years in the beauty industry, especially under the wings of a celebrity for 7 years, I have developed a keen eye for details and a deep understanding of aesthetics. My passion for travel with my husband has exposed me to diverse cultures and design styles from around the world, which I incorporate into my projects to create unique and inspiring interiors.
In addition to my artistic and cultural background, I hold an MBA degree from Kellogg Northwestern University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in business management and strategic thinking. This education enables me to approach design projects with discipline. I can effectively manage budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring that each project is executed seamlessly and meets the highest standards of quality.
